Château Caronne Ste Gemme Haut-Médoc 2020

The 2020 Caronne is a very impressive rustic style classic claret. it boasts a moderate peppery nose. Very tannic with spicy black fruits. Impressive on the palate with well-balanced with raspberry and a touch of black pepper and burnt toast. Good density with a simple, corpulent finish. An easy drinking high quality wine. 13% ABV.

Château Caronne Ste-Gemme is located in the municipality of St Laurent Medoc, on the left bank of Bordeaux. Emile Borie purchased the Chateau in 1900, it was passed down to his grandson Jean Nony-Borie who has directed the property since 1943 with his nephew François Nony. The work in the vineyard is traditional, the vines are trellised and plowed and the harvest is carried out almost entirely by hand.
