The Merlot-dominated 2016 By Clinet (there's 5% Cabernet Franc) is a charming, already delicious effort that gives up elegant notes of chocolate-laced plums and dark fruits, notes of leafy herbs and truffle, medium to full body, and a layered, charming mouthfeel. Bright ruby red with nose of violets and red fruits, this dry red wine from the Beaujolais region of Burgundy is bursting with ripe red berry fruit flavours. It is soft and fresh, with delicate light tannins. Good acidity with medium body. A very versatile food wine that goes well with both meat and plant-based dishes.
Cave de Fleurie, Côte de Brouilly 2021
The nose has notes of spices (white pepper) and black fruits, like blackberry. The beautiful colour shimmers in both red and purple and you can almost taste and smell the colours - hints of raspberries, blackcurrants and strawberries which are nicely wrapped in a little scent of mint and laurel. Easy drinking and full of harmony.

The nose is intoxicating with pristine aromas of red berries, capsicum, tomato leaf and earth. The palate is energetic with a stony minerality to compliment the complex mix of fruit flavours alongside medium-fine grain tannins and refreshing acidity. The finish is invigorating, leaving you eagerly reaching for the glass after each sip.

Harmonious and easy, yet still complex. Pale, crystalline yellow with green tints. Racy nose combining citrus fruits, delicate minerality and blackcurrant bud. Well-balanced, light, tense palate revealing great quality aromatics with restrained exuberance. Lovely clean characters and precision.

Intense, very aromatic bouquet with a mixture of floral hints of jasmine, hawthorn and lemon blossom. Full of fruit on the palate – mandarin, pear, lychee, pineapple. A very successful vintage, lots of body and length, this wine fills the palate.

This wine with a pale gold colour reveals a beautiful minerality. The palate is chiselled, fresh and floral. A gourmet expression of the Aligoté grape variety. Aligoté is Burgundy's second white grape, and when, as in this case, treated correctly, can produce really lovely wines that don't cost a fortune.
